The age old question is asked over and over again. Do you think even I could learn digital marketing? Or is it out of my learning scope or not really what it’s cracked up to be?

So let’s talk about this for a few minutes:

If you’ve ever scrolled past someone online sharing their success story—saying they made five or six figures in a few months, and thought, “Yeah, right…”, you’re not alone. It’s human nature to doubt what feels far from our own reality. And truthfully, not everyone online is telling the whole story. But that doesn’t mean success isn’t real- or that it’s out of reach for you.

The reality is, there are real people changing their lives through digital marketing and doing phenomenal. Not because they got lucky. Not because they already knew what they were doing. But because they decided to try, learned new skills, and kept going even when it felt hard.

Is it guaranteed that everyone will have the same results? No. But it is absolutely possible…and it’s a lot closer than most people think.

Here’s something important to remember everybody starts somewhere. Nobody enters this space an expert. Every successful digital marketer you see today once knew nothing about it!

Just like you’ve tackled brand-new things in life before: your first job, learning to drive, moving to a new city, or my personal favourite… being a new parent… you can learn this too. It’s just another skill, and one that can open up an incredible number of opportunities once you take that first step.

Are there struggles?  Yes… definitely for some… others… well… I Dunno but they seem to get traction very quickly… I didn’t.  Not the first time around or the second… but I didn’t let it stop me.  I just kept going… and going … and eventually the wheels started turning. 

This time around… well… I’ve seen some great results, but I have also been really stuck.  Most challenges I waded through… and eventually found the answers… even though many of them were right in front of me with the digital course I took that has really been just what I needed.   

The truth is most people struggle.  Sometimes its just knowing what to do first.  It can be a bit overwhelming wondering which direction to take a kick at first… but a lot of that is just the information overload.  Its easily overcome if you just decide to stay organized and keep your eyes on the end goal.

One of the biggest hurdles that stops people is the fear of “wasting” money and the time. But honestly? There are far worse things you could spend your money…and your time on than investing in learning digital marketing.

Even if you don’t get everything right on the first try (nobody does), you’ll be gaining skills that are valuable, flexible, and can be applied in so many ways across so many industries. You’re not buying “hope” – you’re investing in yourself, in knowledge, and in real-world skills that can stay with you forever.

The truth is, so often we hold ourselves back with self-doubt.
We think, “I could never figure that out” or “I’m too late to start now.” But you know what? Many times, when we finally try something new, we amaze ourselves. Maybe you’ll find you have a real talent for writing, building websites, creating social media content, or designing graphics. You won’t know until you give yourself the chance – and you deserve to see what you’re capable of. Check out my short video series touching on all of these points here.

Also, don’t make it too serious! Digital marketing doesn’t have to be scary or overwhelming. It’s creative, its fun, and it can be incredibly rewarding. And one of the best parts? Once you start, you’ll naturally connect with others who are on the same path…in forums, in groups, in online communities. You’ll meet people, make friends, and build a support system that can truly make the journey even more fulfilling. (Some of my own lifelong friendships started this very way!)

So, if you’re sitting there feeling unsure & wondering if you’re crazy for even considering this, then let me be the first to tell you: you’re not crazy. You’re brave.

It’s smart to want to grow. It’s smart to want more.
And the only thing you need to do right now is give yourself permission to start.

Because when you believe in yourself and take that first step, you’re not just learning digital marketing, you’re opening the door to an entirely new chapter of your life.
