Yes, Anybody Can Learn Digital Marketing – At Any Age!

Let’s clear this up right away: you don’t need to be young, tech-savvy, or have a marketing degree to learn online marketing. You don’t even need prior experience. Whether you’re 25, 45, or 65+, you can absolutely pick up the skills of digital marketing—and even enjoy the process! I say this from personal experience, having re-entered the online world after more than 12 years away.

Learn Digital Marketing – Starting From Scratch? That’s Totally Fine!

If you’re a complete beginner, you’re actually in a great spot. Why? Because you’re not unlearning old habits—you’re learning things fresh. And the truth is, digital marketing is just a set of learnable skills. SEO, content creation, social media, email marketing—it might sound overwhelming at first, but each one can be broken down into bite-sized lessons.

All It Takes Is Commitment (Not Perfection)

You don’t have to be perfect or know it all before you start. What you do need is a commitment to show up, put in the time, and keep going—even when things feel a little confusing. Because yes, learning online marketing takes effort, but it’s enjoyable work. It’s creative, it’s rewarding, and you get to see your progress over time.

I’m No Spring Chicken, ((Sadly)) But I Dove Back In!

When I returned to the digital marketing space, I knew things had changed a lot—so I made the decision to take a course. It’s pretty extensive, but it’s been incredibly valuable in helping me learn up-to-date skills and explore the many new options available today. It’s also about building confidence, discovering what you’re capable of, and opening doors to freedom—whether that means more time, income, or flexibility. You’re investing in yourself, and that’s one of the best investments you’ll ever make.

You’ve Done Harder Things Before

Let’s be honest—we’ve all done hard things in life without blinking. Raising kids, managing households, juggling jobs, navigating challenges—learning online marketing for beginners is actually simpler in comparison. Yes, there are moments of frustration (especially with tech stuff- only at first…), but nothing you can’t handle. And the best part? You’re not doing it alone. There’s so much support out there now.

One Last Mention – That Might Be Encouraging:

Since coming back into the digital marketing space, I’ve realized there are a lot of so-called “mentors” and “coaches” out there. But the truth is, most of them aren’t going to guide you every step of the way and be at your constant disposal.  Some disappear completely, and the ones who stick around often charge (which is fair), but not all have really earned that title.

 I also know it can feel lonely sometimes, especially when you’re struggling or unsure. That’s why my goal is to build a supportive group—a tribe—like I did before when I was in this space, where we can ask questions, share wins, info,  and cheer each other on. It was fabulous… and I (we) all made so many friends… with whom I am still in touch to this day!!
